Cooper Upcroft is a Sydney-based cinematographer and director working across documentary, drama and commercial productions.
His work is primarily focused on documentary. His first feature documentary, Sorrento, received a limited theatrical release in Australia.
Cooper is currently developing his second feature documentary, Paradise Endures, an Australian–Balinese production examining the historical processes that have shaped contemporary Bali. Set against a backdrop of growing tensions between government, local communities and foreign residents and tourists, the film explores how the island arrived at this point and what its future may hold.
He works across cinematography, directing and editing on independent productions and commercial projects, and is available for projects throughout Australia and internationally.
